Traveling to London? You might want to add a jaunt thru the famous Chelsea District. Life was a little simpler and people were less worried and judgemental back in the late 1960’s. Who would have thought you could buy a lion from Harrods department store for about $600? Christian the Lion was a cub from the local zoo who was sold to John Randall and Ace Rourke and they raised him for almost a year in a furniture store located on Kings Road. As a cub he enjoyed riding in the back of a convertible Bentley running around playing soccer in a church courtyard and I’m sure he caught glimpses of Mick Jagger, Eric Clapton as they had townhouses on Kings Road. What an interesting life!

Unfortunately, he outgrew London and he was relocated to Kenya, Africa where he lived out his days in the Kora National Park. He became the leader of his own pride. Also He became a movie star in the movie “Born Free “which is based on the book written by Joy Adamson. There is a happy ending to this amazing story. Christian’s owners John and Ace went to visit him a year later and he recognized them and they had a beautiful reunion. CLICK HERE to View Christian the Lion Video

As the Dow Jones Fell 777 points today I saw many crestfallen faces and future vacation and honeymoon hopes dashed. I on the other hand looked up and saw an opportunity. Don’t despair, life isn’t over, we just need to be more prudent with regard to our spending. By joining a Private Travel Club you can invest in your travel future. You pay a minimal monthly fee (usually under $40 per month) and have access to absolutely amazing dream trips , some are even all inclusive so you can literally step aboard a cruise ship or step onto an amazing island or spectacular resort and not even bring your wallet drinks, meals, planned excursions, room service etc at your beck and call. These trips are real and are available to everyone. We need to become less of a credit society and start paying in cash. Rest and relaxation or extreme fun and adventure will be even more enjoyable knowing you don’t have a credit card bill to pay when you come home.

I’m under the impression that Private Travel Clubs have been around for a while but the rich keep it a secret. I’m always hearing people who came from an exotic or unusual vacation talk about the “great deal they got. Now Private Travel Clubs such as World Venture Travels are now reaching the masses and it’s opening the door so all people can afford to travel everyone can be their own travel agent or just select a preplanned “Dreamtrip.” The cost of a Dreamtrips is usually offered to a Private Travel club at wholesale pricing. So that’s how the rich people can do it….

We all have the right to the “Pursuit of Happiness” lets pay in cash and really live it up.

Check out this awesome Private Travel Club

When a couple decides to get married there is a lot of support from family and friends and everything is new and exciting, Out of all the gifts newlyweds receive, the #1 gift should be the Honeymoon of their dreams. Too many times this integral event is not given its due attention. Most couples that have been happily married for many years can attribute it to the fact that they commit to carving out special time just for themselves. Celebrating your anniversary like it is your honeymoon every year should be a #1 priority of every couple.

So what are a few reasons newlyweds don’t focus on the celebrating their anniversary every year like it’s their honeymoon?

Time- Not planning time for it. Why not commit to always plan on celebrating it the week of your anniversary. You probably tried to get married in a month that didn’t have too many conflicting events. Once it becomes a committed priority for the couple it will get on the calendar and be looked upon as something to look forward to each year.

Money - Don’t you think everyone should be able to travel affordably? You save money for your house and your retirement why not your vacation? What if there was a way to take a vacation each year at wholesale pricing by joining a private travel club? There are people who travel at jaw dropping prices and get paid for doing it. You just need to check it out for yourself, the deals and opportunities are out there.

I can’t think of a better way to continue to build the unity of spirit between couples except through spending real quality time together. Start off married life by having the Honeymoon of your dreams. Your family can help you make this extra special by joining a honeymoon gift registry. Once a couple realizes how wonderful a real honeymoon can be, they can develop the habit and desire to continue a wonderful tradition of giving the anniversary celebration the focus it deserves.

I was enthralled with the look of the hotel as it reminds me of a castle. I was not prepared for all this hotel had to offer.

First it’s located at the base of Heavenly Ski Resort so you can literally hop on Heavenly’s gondola and after a spectacular ride you can be at the ski resort in minutes. Heavenly Ski resort resides on the California as well as Nevada state line. New for 2008 will be the Heavenly Sky Flyer at Adventure Peak. This elevated zip line cable ride will take guests on a 50-mile-an-hour thrill ride from the top of Tamarack Express back to the top of the Gondola, a vertical drop of 525 feet. At 3,100 feet, the Heavenly Sky Flyer will be the longest zip line in the lower 48 U.S. states.

Second, the hotel accommodations are very generous and if you belong to a private travel club you can stay for a very reasonable rate. My three favorite accommodations that the Embassy Suites provide are the two room suite, hanging out in the spacious garden atriums in the hotel and the cook to order breakfast., It makes me feel so much more at home and it’s great if we bring the kids or other guests as we enjoy the extra space, privacy and everyone gets what they want to eat for breakfast for one inclusive great price.

1) I love the two room concept.Every suite offers a living room with sofa bed, armchair, and a well-lit dining/work table area. The private bedroom features one king or two double beds, a second television, and a bathroom stocked with an ample supply of soaps, shampoo, plush towels, and a hairdryer. All suites contain a stocked minibar, wet bar, microwave oven, coffeemaker, in-room movies, VCR, and two telephones with voicemail and dataport.

2) I thoroughly enjoy the spacious and beautiful atriums. After a day of playing at the mountains or lake, I relax in one of three garden atriums, play in the heated pool, soak in the whirlpool, or visit the fitness center with sauna. These are all activities that I can’t do at home so I really take advantage of these amenities.

3) I look forward to the complimentary cook to order breakfast. I love the smell of fresh bacon and hot steaming coffee, pancakes, french toast, and omelets, Everyone gets what they want and I don’t have to clean up!. The Echo Restaurant offers new American cuisine, as well as classic entrees. The Lounge features the exclusive 180-degree bar and outdoor patio seating.

Third, the Embassy Suites is next door to Harrahs and Mont Bleu casinos if you want a change of pace, a little gambling, see a show, watch a sporting event, dancing etc. they are within walking distance In my opinion it’s the most fun and greatest amount of variety you can get in such a short period of time.

Finally, if you don’t mind driving around a bit you are very close to over nine ski resorts and the Delta Queen Steamboat cruise is really fun. Lake Tahoe is an absolutely perfect destination place to go year around.

When you plan to travel via an airline, it’s important to do it right. Here are some ideas on how to make the whole process as smooth and hassle-free as possible.

First of all, let’s talk about booking. When you book your flight, make sure to book it well in advance. Most frequent fliers consider this common sense, but it’s worth noting if you are a new flyer. For some of the things that happen when you don’t plan ahead, read on.

What happens when you don’t plan ahead and book your flight well in advance is this: first of all, you risk not getting the flight on the dates and times that you want or need. Flight bookings, like all types of travel, are on a first come first served basis.

Another problem that occurs when you don’t book well in advance, even if you do end up getting on a flight at the last minute, is that you will pay exorbitant rates! That means you could end up paying double (or more!) than what you would have if you had booked well in advance. “In advance” usually means at least a month or so ahead of your departure date (but this varies per airline and also depends on whether it’s near a Holiday or other busy time). Book very well in advance for Holidays!

Another tip that you should consider when you plan to fly is to check various airlines’ pricing to get the best value. For example, if you’re booking first class, while it will cost more than coach, you can still save if you price-compare.

Don’t have time to shop and compare flights? No problem! Actually, most people don’t! All you need to do is go to a price comparison site online and book your flight through them. There are several very good, reputable companies with direct relationships to all the major airlines that will do the work of finding the best rate for you!

Finally, consider your luggage. Pack as lightly as possible. Many airlines are charging more for certain baggage weight and size, and some require extra fees for carry-on bags. Check with your airline before your departure date, so you know what their policies and rates are.

You’ll also want to ask what you can and cannot bring with you on an airplane, due to heightened security. It’s not worth the embarrassment of not asking ahead of time. These regulations are increasingly strict and are changing rapidly, so you’ll want to check with your airline before your departure date on what is currently prohibited on that particular flight. If you don’t, you could end up delaying or even missing your flight due to security checks!

Plan ahead when you fly, even if you aren’t able to plan very far in advance. But the further in advance the better, is the motto here.
